The Norfolk Broads

The Norfolk Broads National Park has a wonderful mixture of open water, woodland, fen and marsh. Boats of every description can be hired less than five minutes from the hotel in Wroxham and used to explore the waterways and discover the varied birdlife and wildfowl. There are over 300km of footpaths and bike-hire centers throughout the Norfolk Broads and a wide range of fishing for anglers of all levels.

Norfolk Beaches

Norfolk has 93 miles of coastline laden with unspoilt beaches that are clean, safe and family-friendly. They are great to enjoy throughout the seasons; all are dog-friendly and on most days have stunning sunsets. Brancaster is our all-around recommendation however Wells and Hunstanton are best for family days, Cromer is best for surfing and Holkham for walking the dog.

Norfolk Golf Courses

Norfolk boasts some of the finest historic Links golf courses in the UK and all are within a short drive from The Norfolk Mead. Royal West Norfolk, Hunstanton, Royal Norwich, Royal Cromer and Sheringham golf courses are all ranked amongst the best courses in the country and we can't recommend them highly enough to our golfing guests. Get in touch if you would like us to arrange a tee-time at these or any of the courses in Norfolk.

Historic Norwich

Norwich provides one of the best medieval experences and the city is just five miles or twenty minutes drive from The Norfolk Mead. From the fascinating Norman Castle standing to the beautiful Pulls Ferry on the riverside, be sure to visit Cows Tower and Bishops Bridge. Two Cathedrals, museums, galleries, Norwich Theatre Roya and many more venues provide cultural alternatives to the fantastic shopping, quality restaurants and historic public houses.

Find your inner Tarzan at Go Ape in Thetford Forest or try Bewilderwood, the curious treehouse adventure located in Hoveton.
